Team Awesome

Team Awesome is a celebration of people from all different fitness levels and backgrounds.  It doesn’t matter if you run a 6 minute mile or a 14 minute mile, you’re awesome just for getting out there and getting it done!  You have the capability to accomplish anything you set your sights on; just keep putting one foot in front of the other and before you know it, you’re there! Now, this principle doesn’t apply merely to fitness, it’s an all encompassing truth of life.  When something knocks you down, get back up and face the challenge head on. A positive attitude is essential to not only achieving your dreams, but also for maintaining your physical and emotional health. Recognize the truth in this statement I’m about to make and embrace it: You. Are. Awesome!

Team Awesome the night before Rock-n-Roll New Orleans.

Wondering where the Team Awesome name came from? It was born out of a commitment between myself and two of my running buddies (hi Stacey & Lorena!!) to run our first ½ marathon.  Because I’m a dork, I thought we needed a team name.  After all, we had just committed ourselves to three months of black toenails, sweat stains and tears.  When thinking about a name, I wanted something that really embodied us, our abilities and ambitions. Our awesomeness.

  2. To Team Awesome, Take no prisoners. Grind the mileage little by little one step at a time. Congrats on your accomplishments, stay true to your cause and the prize will be yours in the end.

On a side note pretty damn proud of my little girl and her journey to honor her brother and those who have fallen from the 2/1. Stay strong Bean! Love Ya, Dad

  3. There will be no prisoners taken during the Marine Corps Marathon; only casualties! I just hoping to not be one of the casualties, lol! Thank you so much for the support, motivation, and encouragement. Love you!!
